The Collective
Founded in January 2003, [kameraphoto] was the coming together of a very diverse group of photographers. It was born of the need to create a structure, in Portugal, that would foster, distribute and represent the work of freelance photographers. [kameraphoto] pushes its members to work on personal projects and protects their rights as independent authors. Currently, our 13 members are:
Alexandre Almeida, Augusto Brázio, António Júlio Duarte, Céu Guarda, Guillaume Pazat, João Pina, Jordi Burch, Martim Ramos, Nelson d'Aires, Pauliana Valente Pimentel, Pedro Letria, Sandra Rocha e Valter Vinagre.
From its inception, [kameraphoto] has been receptive to all photographers whose work testifies to a high degree of commitment, both humanly and photographically, towards their chosen themes. [kameraphoto] provides an ample platform for multiple visions and perceptions of the world, expressed plurally through photography.
