3D Rendering

More than one person will have asked themselves at some point, especially those who are not familiar with the architecture and construction industry: What is a render? and What is a render for?  In this post, we get out of doubts and detail the different types of renders.

What is a Render?

Renders, also called 3D perspectives, are digital images generated by a computer, which represent buildings, objects and/or characters in a virtual three-dimensional world.  For example, a house or a building.

In many renderings they are so close to reality that they can be easily confused by photographs of real objects. These are known as photorealistic renderings.

What is a Render for?

These computer-generated images have many uses depending on the field in which they are planned to be used. In this article we will focus on renders focused on uses for architecture and as a tool for marketing and sales strategies of a real estate developer.

3D architectural renderings are used to transmit the architect’s or designer’s vision to the client.

It is employed by designers to sell their vision of the project to their client or to submit their project to a contest or bidding process.

In the case of a real estate developer they are used as visual support in the presentation and collection of investment for new developments; and as part of the sales strategy for pre-sales and promotion of the project.
